What services does Wakenshaw Property Services offer?

We offer a full range of domestic plumbing services and handyman work including fixing leaking taps and joints, bleeding and re-pressuring heating, replacing taps, sinks, toilets, building flat-pack furniture, repairing cupboard hinges, shelves, hanging pictures, light fixings, faceplates and more.

What are your hours of operation?

Our standard operating times are Monday through Friday from 9am to 5pm. Any work required outside of this time may incur extra charges.

What do you charge?

Our charges are done by the job and not per hour. This means if it takes us longer than anticipated, it costs you nothing extra. However quotes are given for the work expected and any extra work required by unforeseen circumstances would need to be discussed and charged for (ie tap replacement with no isolation valves and stop cock turns out to be seized).

What if you can't do the work?

If we identify a problem and diagnose a required repair that we cannot fix you will be liable for our call-out fee to cover travel, diagnostics and our time and expertise. If we come to do any work and cannot access the property or location or are prevented from carrying out the work, the full amount will be payable. However, if we come to do a standard job and for whatever reason we cannot do the work then we will waive any fees.

How can I pay?

We have several options available! You can pay by card there and then on completion of the work, even using contactless payment. Or we can send an invoice to you via text, email or post. We also accept bank transfers and cash. Invoices are due within 7 days of completion of the work. Late fees may apply.

Is the work guaranteed?

Yes! Any work we carry out is guaranteed by us for a reasonable time period. Any materials and goods we purchase are also guaranteed. Any goods provided by yourself or any additional work carried out after we leave is not guaranteed unfortunately, though goods you purchase will have their own guarantee.

Sounds good! Shall I get a quote or just book you?

If the job is a straight forward one (leaking tap, fix cupboard door hinge, hang a picture etc) then just drop us a message on WhatsApp or text, include any relevant pictures and I will let you know the price. If you want to go ahead we can book you in for a day that suits.

When do you operate?

We tend to operate weekdays from 9am till 5pm. Generally for task work we will organise a day with you and either a 9am-1pm, 1pm-5pm or a day slot. We will message if we can 30 minutes before coming around. We can and do operate outside of these hours but an additional charge will be applicable (ie weekends or after 5pm).
